many of you know how obsessive I am about my planning. in talks with a friend recently who "wants to get together sometime soon", I made it very apparent that I need a time and date... otherwise it wouldn't happen. those of you who know me know this is true. If it doesn't get put in my calendar, it doesn't get done. (thanks mom for that gene!)
I'm a busy girl. I have this blog, a 40h/week job, teaching art classes and then I have another part time job as well-- a brand ambassador for mark. Yes, you read that right-- four jobs!
And yet I have time for a social life, sleep and tons of other stuff. How? I'm awesome-- and scheduled!
I looked around the web/stores/etc for a planner that would fit my life. One that could keep all four jobs plus a social life in ONE place.... to no avail. So I made my own!
I grabbed a moleskine notebook (mine is not lined or graphed) and went to work with my ruler. I designed my pages so that saturday is the biggest day, 'cause that's usually my day to get "extraneous" stuff done! I blocked off my "after work" hours in the evening, plus have a place for my workouts, my work agendas and a place to plan my posts for this here blog!
this was really really easy-- if you're nervous about spacing out your days, practice on a piece of paper first. I don't have any of my measurements done by heart... I wing it! :) I used some washi tape to highlight special events like Easter and trips in my calendar--- it works really well if you write on the page and then tape OVER the writing, otherwise with most washi tapes, the ink will wipe off! :)
let me know if you try this! I'd love to see pics!
and for those of you who want to see how I plan out my days, I'll be guest posting on the Hartungs' blog next week about that very thing! ;)
